Funded Taiawa Steaming
One on One Session
Service Description
This is the ancient practice of pelvic steaming. Māori women and other indigenous cultures all around the world used this practice for the health and wellbeing of themselves and their whakapapa. My work with Taiawa Steaming I provide a space for one on one, in person and with online group sessions that educate and empower women to connect to the power of their Whare Tangata. I am currently creating a Kaupapa for women to create their own practice, to explore their needs and rituals safely and powerfully. When booking you will be asked questions about your ikura (menstruation cycle). This is to personalise your steaming treatment by analysing your ikura (menstruation cycle), discuss other symptoms that might be showing and kōrero about your general wellbeing. Included with your this steam is rongoā specific to your needs ā wairua, ā tīnana, ā hinengaro. Please note that Taiawa steaming is recommended toward the end of your ikura cycle (menstruating) or when you're not bleeding, however, there is some flexibility if you are having reoccurring issues. Please factor this in when choosing an appointment time. *** Taiawa Steaming is not recommended if you are hapu/pregnant *** *** If you are trying to conceive or are Hapu contact Tracey-Leigh directly for guidance and advice on the best and safest times to book a steaming session. ***
