About the event
This is our Level One Certification of Traditional Māori Healing. An introduction and exploration of Indigenous Māori Knowledge, concentrating on Health and Wellbeing within the philosophies, art and practice of Mirimiri and Romiromi. This ancient practice enables the movement and release of trauma, stress and pain held within the cellular memory and waterways of the physical body.
The mahi focuses on the catalyst of illness and dis-ease rather than giving too much mana to the symptom. Tauira (students) will learn when we trace and heal from the catalyst the healing is more effective long term and prevents the illness or dis-ease manifesting elsewhere in the body.
Over the weekend you will be introduced to:
Whakapapa of Mirimiri / Romiromi - Where our practices originated from and discussing different methods and traditions our ancestors used for restoring the balance within individuals, whānau and communities.

Includes the two wānanga and a certification of completion which gives each tauira / student access to hands on training and experience in our community clinic. There is a vegetarian lunch included though we do ask everyone bring something to contribute towards kai.
